Daily Care

To remove dust and debris, vacuum the rug regularly and thoroughly. All vacuum cleaners are suitable for this process.

Stains & Spillage

In case of stains or spillage, react immediately before it has time to settle into the fibers. Take a white soft cloth, towel or sponge and tap gently instead of scrubbing and rubbing. First, attempt dabbing the spot with warm water, before using other solutions. Do not use hot water as it can scorch the fibers. If water does not remove the spillage, apply a solution of 1 teaspoon of white vinegar mixed with a 1 liter of warm water.

If this solution is too mild you can apply approved wool detergents or rug cleaning solutions. Follow the instructions as described on your individual cleaning solution. Always go for the mildest options first; and test your solution on a small spot before applying to a larger area to avoid damage. Use detergents that are as mild and as natural as possible. Avoid substances such as chlorine, alcohol, bleach, wax and petroleum that may cause damage to the fibers and the colors. We recommend cleaning products by James

Make sure to wash out the used solutions gently after treatment. There should be no product left in your rug. Let your rug fully dry. Be aware that leaving your rug in direct sunlight for extended periods of time may affect the fibers and colors.

We recommend getting your rugs professionally cleaned at least once a year. This process includes a washing technique with the usage of a lot of water.
